Three representing offices in different geographical regions support the activities of the department and EURAC institutes on a national and international level.

Rome representing office

The office is located in the city centre, next to Via Veneto, close to various institutions, international organisations and embassies. The office fosters EURAC relations with institutions and ministries on a national level with the scope to increase research activities financed by national funds. It provides support to EURAC research institutes in the creation of collaborative research projects including identification of possible partnerships and the development of projects. In addition it organises EURAC events in the capital.

Some experts (see former International Mountain Agreement Co-ordination Unit)  located at the representing office furthermore provide assistance to the Italian Ministry of Environment and other institutions to implement the Alpine Convention.

Vienna representing office

The Vienna representing office is located at the UNEP (United Nations Environmental Programme) premises. The EURAC expert team provides assistance to the Interim Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention (ISCC) and facilitates contacts between the partners of the Carpathian Convention and EURAC research institutes with a view to make EURAC expertise available for the implementation of the Convention.

Brussels representing office

The office fosters EURAC relations with EU institutions and representations, with the scope to increase research activities and project participation on EU and international level. It provides support to EURAC research institutes to identify available EU programmes and funding, build partnerships and elaborate projects. The EURAC Brussels representing office is hosted by the Common representation of the European regions Tyrol - South Tyrol - Trentino.
