Land-use and Land-cover Mapping and Monitoring

We use high-resolution optical data to map and monitor land-cover and land-cover dynamics in the sensitive environment of the Alps. Our methodologies are based on an array of classifiers and object-based approaches. The study of land-cover dynamics is supported by time-series analyses of radar and moderate resolution optical data. Applications include land-use maps, assessment of forest damage and monitoring natural habitats.
