Risk Research and EO Data
The core capacity of our Institute--the analysis of remotely-sensed Earth Observation (EO) data–-represents a crucial source of information on large and/or outlying geographic regions, particularly in the context of frequent monitoring activities. One of the outstanding strengths of our research is our capacity to integrate EO-based data directly into our advanced geographic, hydrological and hydraulic modeling tools, and to adapt it for use in socio-economic assessments. We deploy both, optical and radar data for analysing and monitoring slow movements of surface and infrastructure objects.
