Implementation of LUCAS 2 in hypothermic cardiac arrest patients with helicopter transport
Objectives
It is the aim to test the applicability of a chest compression system with arrested hypothermic patients during helicopter transport. Main endpoint is the maintenance of an adequate systemic blood pressure during a protracted cardiopulmonary resuscitation of a hypothermic cardiac arrest patient with application of LUCAS 2 during HEMS transport and in the shock room. Secondary endpoints are the implementation of LUCAS 2 in a protracted cardio-pulmonary resuscitation of a hypothermic cardiac arrest patient during HEMS transport, the influence of LUCAS 2 on cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, patients outcome in relation to survival and neurological outcome, injuries caused by LUCAS 2 application.
