PRODUCTS AND SERVICES:
At the Institute for Applied Remote Sensing we acquire, archive, process and distribute remotely-sensed data acquired from Earth Observation satellites and other data. This process chain includes the development and implementation of value-adding applications as products and services provided to our stakeholders. Our researchers develop a portfolio of Earth Observation products that stretches from simple satellite images through visual interpretations up to complex value-adding remote sensing applications such as change detection analysis, land-use and land-cover classification, snow cover maps, project-specific monitoring and analysis services. All these products and services are produced on demand or, if required, according to a regular time interval.
We offer access to a continuously expanding set of basic and more complex Earth Observation and GIS services. Services can be free of charge, for demonstration or fully operational and in this case requiring payment. The big advantage of our products and services is the combination of data acquired and processed in near real-time (2-6 hours): this enables us to obtain the needed information in a useful way for monitoring the Earth surface. We have also access to a data archive of satellite data that allows us to analyze time series and thereby to recognize and characterize changes and trends of different physical parameters such as surface temperature (LST) or vegetation changes (LAI, NDVI).
Currently we are offering the following products and services:
